I’m Jake Yapp. I write and perform music and comedy for a variety of clients, including BBC Radio and Television, Dave, and Channel 4. I also do a daily podcast, called Not Today, Thank You, a kind of topicalish comedyish thing, and I’m the creator and host of the Vegan Life Magazine Podcast, a fun show that’s all about food and how to eat it.
I had a breakthrough with a youtube clip where I encapsulated a day in the life of BBC Radio 4 in four minutes, and since then I’ve appeared on Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe, I made a show on Dave called The Hurting, and honked out 80 episodes. And I had my own series on BBC Radio 4; Jake Yapp’s Media Circus.
I’ve been working in TV and radio for nearly thirty years, now – previous writing and performing credits include TV Offal, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and anyone who’ll have me. I’ll make a big link dump somewhere here so you can rake through some of it if you fancy it.
